It was extremely busy there because that week there was a event that took up about 5 city blocks at the park. It's amazing that they can have some type of order with that many people in one location.

The chimney that was done today needed to be rebuilt. Most of the time when maintenance is done on a regular basis either just a few brick need to be replaced or tuckpointing. But when the needed time is taken and also the experience that we offer, a rebuild can be done right. With this particular chimney, the limestone between the brick and concrete cap was able to be reset and also the top concrete was able to stay and it needed to be resurfaced. Becauce of the experience we bring to each job, chimney repairs like this one can be done right and steps are taken to lower cost by only fixing what needs to be done and exactly how to do it.

The top 7 courses of the chimney was damaged because the top crown had cracks. The top crown must be inspected each year. Most all damage to the masonry on a chimney comes from water entering from the top crown. Contact G.H. Erickson & Son for a inspection of your chimney.
